About Us

Making the move to a new home is one of the biggest decisions you will make in your lifetime, and we appreciate that you may need a helping hand to get the best price for what is probably your most expensive asset. We are a local, independent estate agency with a commitment to customer satisfaction, as well as understanding the importance that modern day technology has to offer any prospective seller or purchaser.

Andrew Downing-Booth Estate Agents has extensive knowledge of the Staffordshire market and is here to break the mould of the traditional estate agent by offering a friendly, honest and professional service, with the personal touch that is required when dealing with such a sensitive process.

We are both city and rural specialists, with the ability to expertly market properties within Lichfield itself from our city centre location, whilst also having the knowledge required to promote rural, agricultural and equestrian properties to their relevant markets.

Meet The Team

Andrew Downing-Booth BSc (Hons)

Director

Growing up on the family dairy farm installed a hard work ethic, an entrepreneurial spirit and a knowledge of all things rural into Andrew from an early age.

Andrew has a vast knowledge of the Staffordshire market having started in the industry at the age of 19 in 2007. At that time, he worked as an accompanied viewer for a market leading estate agent in Stafford before becoming a full time sales negotiator in 2009, upon graduating from The University of Birmingham.

In 2010, Andrew was head hunted as the first employee of a brand new estate agents which became market leader of their area within 6 months. He progressed to Assistant Manager and later Branch Manager for the same company who are one of Staffordshire’s most popular estate agents, specialising in large and prestigious properties. After spending around 3 years as Branch Manager, Andrew then moved to another new estate agency, where he held the position of Sales Manager.

The company became market leaders within the first year of opening and are also now one of Staffordshire’s largest estate agents. Having worked here for around 2 and a half years, he made the decision to step into the role of an entrepreneur by opening Andrew Downing-Booth Estate Agents.

Outside of work, Andy is a keen footballer, and plays 6-a-side football regularly, although he’s not much of a runner, so he plays in goal and jumps around now and then. He also supports his beloved Wolverhampton Wanderers, so when he’s not working on a Saturday, tries to get down to watch them as often as he can. He also enjoys spending quality time on days out with the family and dog walks with his cheeky cocker spaniel Milo.

Helen Kent

Office Manager

Helen had a number of years experience in the industry before coming to join the team, having had Andy hounding her to come to work with him for about 12 months, she finally caved. She came with a great reputation within the sales team from a local corporate estate agency and joined as the office manager, running the Lichfield branch when Andy is out on appointments.

In her spare time, she loves all things equestrian and canine! Attending horse based events whenever she has spare time at weekends, whilst also having her Tiktok famous Staffies called Lola and Leo, who also make the odd visit to the office.

Jake Jervis

Lister

Jake is our photography expert who joined the team brand new to the industry back in 2021. Andy has taught him all he knows and sometimes looks at Jake’s property photos and thinks they are better than some of the shots he used to take!

In his spare time, Jake enjoys playing football for both 6 a-side and 11 a-side teams and unfortunatley is an avid Aston Villa fan, but don’t let that put you off him! He also enjoys spending weekends with friends and taking his dog Daisy (who catches balls better than goalkeeper Andy) for walks.

Grace Cotterill

Senior Sales Negotiator

Grace joined the team with a number of years experience under her belt, and had most recently been effectively managing another local estate agent’s branch. Having flourished in that role, she has proven herself excellent at building client relationships and is great at problem solving when it comes to any of the teams trickiest chains.

Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with friends and loves a fillet steak on a Saturday night, followed by a cuddle on the sofa with her cat Pippa, who takes after Grace by being a huge chatterbox!
